View Your Student's Work in Schoology

Metro Schools uses Schoology as its learning management system for students in grades K–12. Teachers can share files, links, and videos, collect student work, and provide academic feedback. Schoology also supports online testing and allows parents to view student progress—all in an easy-to-use platform.

How Parents Can Access Schoology

Parents can create a Schoology account using an access code provided by their child’s teacher or school. Once registered, parents can view assignments and assessments, receive email updates, and communicate with teachers.

First Step: Get Your Schoology Access Code

Ask your child’s teacher or school for your parent access code before trying to login.

How to Create a Parent Account

Have your parent access code handy.
On your device, open a web browser and go to schoology.com.
Click Register or Login.
Under Schoology Learning, select Register for Schoology Learning.
Select the parent option.
Enter the access code provided by your child’s school, then click Continue.
Enter your name, email address, and a password of your choosing.
Click Register to complete setup.

Accessing Your Child’s Schoology Account after Login

After logging in, click your name in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then select your child’s name from the dropdown menu.

Have More Than One Child in MNPS?

Click the Add Child button and enter the additional access code provided by the school.
Select each child's name from the dropdown to view:
- Recent activity
- Enrollments
- To-do list
- Completed tasks

To View Student Courses in Schoology

Select a course to view details. You’ll be able to see grades, academic feedback, upcoming tests, course updates, and any files or materials shared by the teacher.

Using the Schoology Mobile App

To use the app, you’ll need your parent access code from school, as well as your email and password.

Open the Schoology app and select Metro Nashville Public Schools.
You’ll see a message about Single Sign-On (SSO). Select Stay Here.
Enter your email and password, then tap Sign In.
After logging in, you’ll see course updates and activity.
Use the menu icon (three lines in the top left corner) to navigate or switch between students using My Children.

Parents can view their child’s courses, materials, assignments, and grades directly from the app.
