Help us build efficient, reliable bus routes by letting us know if your child will not be riding the school bus.
What is BusChoice?
BusChoice is a short online form that lets MNPS families tell us when their child does not need district bus transportation to school, home from school, or both.
Knowing which students do not need a seat helps our Transportation Department build efficient, reliable routes for the students who do ride.
If Your child rides the bus, no action is necessary
- If your child rides their assigned bus, even sometimes, no action is needed. Your child will continue to have bus service.
- If you do not complete the form, your child will remain signed up for bus transportation.
If Your Child Does Not Ride the School Bus, Fill out BusChoice
Beginning Tuesday, October 13, the BusChoice link will be posted on this webpage and families also will receive the link by email.
To submit the information parents will need:
- Their child's birthdate
- Their child's student ID number
- Don't know the student ID number? Contact the Family Information Center.
More Than One MNPS Student?
If you have more than one child enrolled in MNPS, you can review and update each child's transportation needs all at the same time.
What Happens Next?
Our transportation team will use families' responses to plan route adjustments in the weeks ahead. Families affected by any changes will receive updated route information.
What if Your Family's Transportation Plan Changes?
If you decline bus service and your plans change later, you can log back into BusChoice to request bus transportation again.
