Learning starts at home, and Nashville Public Library (NPL) is here with a new, free resource to support families. ReadyRosie uses video modeling and mobile technology to reach parents on the go, by email or text message.  In hundreds of videos, real parents show how they turn daily home life into “learning moments.” Videos are in English, Spanish, and in English with Arabic and Vietnamese subtitles.

ReadyRosie is part of NPL’s strategy to support grade-level reading in Nashville. The Library, Metro Schools, and many other education organizations in Nashville are committed to helping every student in Davidson County achieve grade-level reading proficiency by the third grade. Third-grade reading skills are a top predictor of future school success, according to the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

ReadyRosie’s content supports Tennessee’s state academic standards. To access ReadyRosie visit: https://library.nashville.org/content/readyrosie
