Eagle View Elementary is the newest school in Metro Nashville Public Schools. The school opened just three short years ago in August 2018. Students at classroom board

Although new, Eagle View is already making a strong academic impression on the Antioch community. In its first year, students earned Level 5 growth in both math and reading on TNReady, a state assessment tool designed to measure a student’s understanding of current state academic standards.

Eagle View Fun Facts

  • Three Eagle View teachers received the 2021 Blue Ribbon Teacher Award last week. This award is only given to 50 outstanding teachers who are changing lives through their work in equity, student engagement, and teacher leadership.
  • Eagle View has adopted the acronym E.V.E. as the school’s nickname, and their colors are blue and gold.
  • They are nicknamed the Preds, after Nashville’s NHL hockey team, and have a baby sabertooth tiger as their mascot.

The Ford Ice Center is their neighbor and PENCIL partner and welcomes the school’s similarities to the hockey team.

Eagle View ensures Every Student is Known by prioritizing the Sown to Grow program for students to reflect on their emotional and academic well-being. Teachers offer timely and personalized feedback to students throughout the program. Students engage in routine data conferences with their teachers and monitor their growth and goals through their individual data notebooks.

Most of E.V.E.’s faculty has remained in place since the school opened, establishing a strong foundation with students and families. Each year they strengthen these bonds by intentionally pairing students with their upcoming teachers.

“At Eagle View Elementary, we work together as a school community to provide an Excellent, Vibrant Education! With the support of our families and partners coupled with the passion and creativity of our teachers and staff, our scholars develop a love for learning and the self-confidence needed to help them thrive in elementary school and beyond!”  said Amy Via, Eagle View Principal .
