Goodlettsville Middle School’s goal is to set high academic expectations for all students by providing supportive systems to ensure they are successful.

Goodlettsville is one of just a few schools in MNPS that offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years programme. Through the IB framework, students learn valuable skills that will help them in numerous ways throughout life. By developing and maintaining a positive school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance and increasing academic expectations for all students, Goodlettsville focuses on college and career readiness for every child.

The teachers and staff at Goodlettsville also make sure Every Student is Known through various initiatives and activities:

Students have a variety of learning experiences to take advantage of, including advanced classes where they can get ahead on high school credits in addition to related arts classes that best align with their interests, like chorus, band, art and technology. Goodlettsville is also part of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) grant focused on the sciences, especially for young female scientists.
