Our Metro Schools Nutrition Services team is proud be a reliable source for healthy meals to thousands of students each day.
We currently offer breakfast to all students in all schools and 119 schools will continue to offer lunch at no cost to all students through the federal Community Eligibility Provision. Students attending 29 schools will be able to apply for free- and reduced-price lunch.
Now, our district also offers convenient new services for parents and students, who can:

What’s on the Menu?
We serve menus that are planned in consistency with the nutrition standards established by the United States Department of Agriculture and emphasizes a diet that includes a variety of vegetables, fresh fruits, whole-grains, low-fat dairy products and lean proteins. We also limit foods high in saturated and trans fats, added sugars, and sodium.
Nutrition Services also recognizes the diverse food preferences of MNPS students and we are now offering a vegetarian option at lunch daily.
Here’s what’s included with each meal:
Breakfast: Entrée, fruit juice, fresh fruit, milk
Lunch: Entrée with bread, hot vegetables, tossed salad or veggie cup, fruit and milk or
Chef salad, fruit and milk.
Free & Reduced Lunch
Students who attend a school that does not offer free lunch to all students can complete an application for free or reduced-price lunch any time during the school year on a paper application or electronically.

To apply for free and reduced lunch, you will need to provide:
The names and incomes of every member of your household
The school, grade, birthdate of every student in your household
Your social security number and electronic signature
(Optional) A valid email address or phone number for district communication about the status of the application.

The application also is conveniently linked in the Metro Public Schools Parentlink app, which puts all your school services and tools in one convenient place or you can download the Meal Viewer app.

Children with Allergies
If your child has an allergy, please complete this Medical Statement for Meal Modification form and return it to your student’s school.
Pay for Lunch Online
Families can pre-pay a student’s lunch, or pay an outstanding lunch balance online using our secure payment portal MySchoolBucks.
