Exceptional Education

Success for Every Student

Metro Nashville Public Schools, in collaboration with families and the community, hold high expectations for each student and strive to provide supportive environments that foster a healthy development of the whole child.

Through rigorous standards, effective differentiated instruction, increasingly intensive interventions, and supports to meet individual needs, we believe all students will have the skills necessary to succeed.

All MNPS schools provide a continuum of services and intervention supports in physical, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive skill areas depending on the individual need of each student.

Child Find

In accordance with Tennessee state law and Child Find obligations, MNPS strives to identify, locate, and evaluate any student who is suspected of having a disability who may need specialized instruction, intervention and/or related services. For more information visit our Child Find page.

Transition Services prepare students for life after they graduate. Metro Schools offers students, ages 14 to 21, a team and step-by-step planning to create goals and a pathway for life after high school.

The program also relies on businesses and organizations to provide partnership and places where students can practice their skills.
